Delaware NeuroRehab Group is seeking a compassionate, evidence-based Rehabilitation Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMHC) to join our interdisciplinary team. We specialize in supporting individuals recovering from mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, chronic migraine, and other complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual therapy utilizing ACT, CBT, CPT, PE, and Motivational Interviewing frameworks

• Conduct clinical intakes for new therapy clients as needed

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physical, occupational, and speech therapists

• Maintain a caseload of approximately 30–35 sessions per week

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Active LCSW, LPC, or LMHC license
  • Interest or experience working with rehabilitation populations (mTBI, chronic pain, insomnia, medical recovery)
  • Comfort with evidence-based therapies and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Willingness to learn ACT, CBT-I, or other rehabilitation-focused modalities if not already trained

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $75,000–$85,000 annually (W-2 full-time)

Nurse Practitioner ( NP ) or Physician Assistant ( PA ) to work 3 days in Newark office and 2 days in Dover office 

Overview
The NP or PA must be able to provide services to adolescents and adults aged 18 and above and work in the outpatient setting. You will be working with a mixture of patients with diagnosis and treatments including but not limited to Concussion, TBI, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Headaches, Musculoskeletal Pain, Spasticity and Dystonia management, Botulinum toxin injections, and Baclofen Pump management.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and neurological evaluations.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, imaging results, and laboratory findings to determine accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and monitor treatment plans.

2. Treatment and Intervention:

  • Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and therapies for patients, in line with clinical guidelines and practice standards.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections, wound care, and other relevant interventions.
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide patient education on rehabilitation techniques, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies.

3. Collaborative Care:

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, neuropsychologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to address their concerns, provide updates, and offer emotional support.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks, such as billing and coding, in a timely and accurate manner.

5. Professional Development:

  • Stay current with advancements in neuro-rehabilitation and related healthcare practices through continuing education, professional conferences, and self-directed learning.

Background

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Delaware.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant, preferably in neurology, rehabilitation, or a related field but will seriously consider individuals who are strongly motivated to learn and grow in the field of Neuro-Rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge of or a strong desire to learn about the field of neuro-rehabilitation, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency or strong interest in performing basic therapeutic injections such as Botox for migraine, trigger point injections, joint injections.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Occupational Therapist who is interested in and wants to significantly contribute to an expanding team invested in delivering excellent patient care to the adult neurological population. The OTR must be able to provide services across the adult lifespan and work in an outpatient setting.

Expectations

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
