I was going into my 3rd year of chronic daily headaches and migraines along with some other symptoms that made my life miserable. Dr Kumar was recommended to me by my vision specialist. He really listened to me, ran tests, referred me to another specialist for an opinion about a possible problem. He found a couple of different issues causing my problems. He has gotten me onto a path of fewer debilitating headaches. I understand more about the vertigo and other symptoms and how to cope better with them. I am very grateful and thankful for Dr Kumar.

My experience wind up being a phone appointment because I had covid and not able to go in. Dr. Sampathkumar was pleasant and helpful throughout our conversation, as I have been dealing with this concussion since May 4,2024. Arrived on time for an appointment at 2:10 May 30,2024 for a first time patient. Waited 25 minutes ,,doing nothing NOT even first visit patient paperwork,(wasn’t even offered it) called back at 27 minute mark,, and the lady immediately gave me an attitude when I said I waited 27 minutes, she rolled her eyes and tilted her head as if I was supposed to wait that long. Temperature inside was 78-80* and muggy. I cannot believe they keep it that hot in there for concussion patients or any type of patient. The hottest doctor’s office I have ever been in !!! With my concussion I couldn’t take it anymore,, I left ,,, Not happy I wasted my time with my head hurting as it was.

The doctor I was seeing, and really liked, retired and went above and beyond to find a physician, Dr. Kumar, who would continue my care. I suffer from nerve damage as a result of a car accident a few years ago. I had seen several neurologists; from doctors in Christiana, Dover, and Baltimore. In most cases, I felt they were trying to help, but their efforts just were not working for me. Dr. Kumar came as a recommendation and I figured I had nothing to lose. I didn't know what Physiatry was, or how it would help me, but I can truly say it was the best decision of my life. Dr. Kumar goes above and beyond. He will do whatever he can in his power to help. I was in a serious auto accident on March 19, 2023 and started treatment at a local hospital as outpatient in Dover Delaware but wasn't happy with their scheduler, so I inquired about Delaware NeuroRehab which was highly recommended by Bayhealth my Family Medical Practice. I did meet with Dr. Kumar who is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in his field as I have unfortunately been diagnosed and still being treated with head trauma, neck injuries and shoulder. Doctor Kumar has a very good team working under him for OP and Speech that also have helped me in recovery. This Doctor and his team definitely state out in my opinion as one of the best in central Delaware.

Dr. Kumar is amazing. He always pays close attention to my health concerns and tries to find a solution to my chronic headaches. He also is sensitive to my financial issues attempting to prescribe the best medication that I can afford. This visit I was treated to meeting Nathan, a medical student doing his rotation. He was attentive and very nice. Dr. Kumar seems to be an excellent teacher/mentor. I wish I could bring some family members to Dr. Kumar but they live out of state.

The doctors and treatment has been super. If anyone who is going through brain trauma, this most comprehensive practice I’ve seen or heard of. The office management especially dealing with the insurance the companies needs some improvements.

Best Pain Management and Brain injury Doctor. Dr. Kumar and his team are amazing! I met Dr. Kumar with a 7-8 pain level which I had for years but just felt normal. Fibromyalgia diagnosis along with PT for 8 weeks. Unfortunately I will always have pain but I can tell you it's a level 1, most days, with zero meds. Physical therapist Siobhan is priceless! She has the special touch and knows how to make you feel better before you leave. She's no nonsense when it comes to being professional and getting you well but the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I'd give Dr Kumar and staff a golden buzzer with confetti if I could. ❤️

The general consensus among the public (as far as we can determine) seems to be that doctors overbook and the time needed past the appointment time to be seen falls on the patients. By the time Evelyn was seen, a good 45 - 50 minutes after her appointment time had passed. That having been said, we have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Kumar and his staff. The receptionists always greet us cheerily. Shavon (sp?), Evelyn's P. T., is tops. Unlike other P. T.'s that Evelyn has had in the past, who seem focused solely on the exercises, Shavon dresses the exercises in fun, making the sessions much more enjoyable while accomplishing the purpose of the visits. Dr. Kumar himself is working very hard to pinpoint the causes of Evelyn's headaches and balance issues. He listens (a skill that many other doctors have yet to acquire). We feel that he is trying his best to alleviate Evelyn's pain and minimize her difficulties with balance. We are quite satisfied that we took the recommendation to work with Dr. Kumar and his staff.

September 28, 2022 I am very pleased with my first appointment with Dr. Haresh Sampathkumar, MD. Dr. Sampathkumar did a wonderful job with a complex medical issue. He takes the time to really listen to his patients, resulting in a complete understanding of my history and what I have been experiencing. He seemed to really think through differential diagnoses and spent a lot of time with me going over the issues. His medical assistant and the staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Overall, my visit with Sampathkumar was a very positive experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you!

Very attentive, felt like Dr was focused on our problems and listened to our concerns. When I called with a concern about medication, I got a call back and phone conference to discuss my concerns!
